20 Macquarie Adviser Services Macquarie Adviser Services The MAStech Library While the MAStech Library is already a valuable resource for financial advisers, we’re endeavouring to improve it further. This article provides a brief overview of the latest developments of the Library, including the new look, new pages and a number of new adviser tools. Basic structure After logging in to the MAStech Library you will be taken to the Overview page, which provides an introduction and links to the latest additions to the Library. From the Overview page you can access six further pages, as illustrated in the site map opposite. Two recent developments to the Library are the additions of a News page and Adviser tools page. Other developments include Fastfacts and PolicyWatch, both accessed from the Adviser tools page. These new pages are additional to the existing Articles, Models & Calculators, Client facing materials and MAStech team pages. News page MAStech has previously provided summaries of financial planning-related news through Technical Updates emailed monthly to MAStech-registered advisers and subsequently made accessible on the MAStech Library. The addition of a News page to the MAStech Library means we now provide access to news items more promptly as relevant new items are frequently posted to the News page. The News page also provides links to previous monthly news summaries, as well as to pages which track the progress of bills before Parliament, new acts assented and regulations introduced. Articles page The Articles page acts as a repository for the numerous strategy and commentary-style articles produced by the MAStech team in recent years. As this page is an archive of articles, advisers should bear in mind that information in the articles was current at the time of writing, and subsequent developments may impact on the relevance of the issues discussed. Adviser tools page On the Adviser tools page you will find a number of more comprehensive guides which are useful reference resources for financial advisers. These guides are updated regularly for any legislative, regulator and/or other developments. Currently three guides are available: the De Facto Relationships Guide, the Big Black Book and the Contributions Cap Companion. Accessing the MAStech Library Access to the MAStech Library is restricted to registered users. If you would like information about the registration criteria, please contact your Macquarie Adviser Services Business Development Manager.
